Liquiça, 02 May 2025 – National Commercial Bank of Timor-Leste (BNCTL) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of the new BNCTL building in Liquiça Municipality, Liquiça Village Administrative Post, Dato District.

In his intervention, the President of the Board of Directors of BNCTL, Sr. Januario da Gama thanked the President of the Liquiça Municipal Authority, the Local Authority, the National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL), the General Coordinator of MCAE and all parties involved in this project.

He informed, the objective of this expansion is to improve the accessibility of bank services to the community to provide more dignified and convenient services to customers.

This First Stone Launch symbolizes national development and collective efforts towards an inclusive economy. The bank will provide access to banking services to all, with professionalism, transparency and good governance. In his speech, Mr. Jorge Rui de Carvalho Martins, MCAE General Coordinator.

On the other hand, President of Liquiça Municipal Authority, Mr. Paulino Ribeiro thanked BNCTL for building a new building to provide services to the Liquiça community and bring economic development to all populations.

The launch ceremony was attended by the Local Authority, representatives of MCAE, PNTL, representatives of the Church, Community and BNCTL employees themselves.
