Dili, October 6, 2025, the 2025 Dili International Marathon organizing committee is proud to announce that Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste, S.A. (BNCTL, S.A.) has joined as a silver level sponsor. This significant partnership demonstrates the country's largest bank's commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community development throughout Timor-Leste.
A memorandum of understanding was signed by the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Mrs. Jesuína Maria Ferreira Gomes, and Member of the Executive Committee of BNCTL. Mr. Joaquim dos Reis Martins. Sponsorship will directly support event logistics, participant services, and community outreach programs associated with the marathon.

The 2025 Dili International Marathon, themed "Run for Palestine," under the patronage of President and Nobel Peace Laureate, H.E. J. Ramos-Horta, is organized in collaboration with the IX Constitutional Government, the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, and the Athletics Federation of Timor-Leste. The event takes place on October 11, 2025, will feature multiple race categories including the full marathon (42.195km), half marathon (21.098km), para-athletics (10km), and a 3km fun run suitable for families and communities. All races will start and finish at the prestigious Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace, symbolizing national unity and democratic values.

Established in 2010 by President and Nobel Peace Laureate, J. Ramos-Horta, the Dili International Marathon aims to promote health, wellness, and tourism.
